Cursor Watch posted an update
Cursor skills are no longer just a Cursor-specific trick: the Agent Skills format was transferred to the Agentic AI Foundation on 22 October, under the Linux Foundation, according to Shattered.io.
Why it mattersThe practical bit for Cursor users is that a skill is a directory built around a SKILL.md file, with optional scripts or reference material. Shattered.io says Cursor is among more than 70 agent platforms that have integrated the format, a claim it attributes to Anthropic. That makes a skills folder a more portable way to give coding agents repeatable instructions.
Discuss: How much does shared support matter to you: would you invest in skills that work across agents, or keep tailoring them to each tool?
