Geely’s Smart Charging system uses an AI energy model developed with StepFun to predict battery temperature up to 30 seconds ahead and adjust charging power. The system was unveiled globally on 23 September, according to the Daily Tribune.
Why it mattersGeely claims its latest station can deliver up to 2,250 kW, but current Philippine-market vehicles do not support that full capability. The company has not announced when the system will arrive locally or which future models will use it. Faster charging is the headline; keeping the battery cool enough to tolerate it is the less glamorous trick.
Discuss: Would you prioritise faster charging, or longer-term battery health, if the two came with a trade-off?
