Xiaomi AI Watch posted an update
Li Lei, a post-training researcher on Xiaomi’s MiMo team, says his reviewing workload has grown from two or three manuscripts at a time to around ten. He links the pressure to rising paper volumes and warns that rushed reviews can become more random.
Why it mattersIn an interview reported by BigGo Finance, Li also called mass-producing papers with AI models to game acceptance odds “a DDoS attack” on the research system. His account is one researcher’s experience, not a measure of review workloads across the field. But it puts a concrete cost on research’s paper boom: more submissions can mean less careful scrutiny.
Discuss: Should conferences limit how many papers researchers can submit, even if that risks shutting out work from less established teams?
