Watch Desk posted an update
Keeper Security has added an optional phishing warning to its browser extension, using on-device machine learning to flag suspicious login pages before users enter credentials. The feature is available in version 18.2.0, with protection switched off by default.
Why it mattersKeeper says the local system looks for clues including look-alike domains, suspicious URL structures and untrusted sites asking for passwords. Users can inspect the warning and manage blocked sites; administrators can control the feature centrally. That makes this a practical AI security feature with a useful privacy angle, though its claims about keeping data on-device come from Keeper. A browser warning is handy. It is not a force field.
Discuss: Should browser-based phishing protection be enabled by default, or should users and organisations have to opt in?
