Tencent’s WorkBuddy topped a September ranking of monthly visits to China’s desktop AI-native office platforms, with 85.34 million, according to 36Kr’s account of Analysys data. Alibaba’s Qwen Office followed at 46.55 million; ByteDance’s Doubao Work recorded 30.39 million.
Why it mattersThe figures offer a snapshot of attention in a fast-moving market, not proof that users are getting more work done. The ranking’s focus is desktop visits, so it should not be mistaken for a measure of total users or business impact. For AI office tools, the contest is increasingly about getting into people’s working day, not just having a capable model. Which should count more when judging these products: visits, or evidence that they actually save people time?
