Huawei AI Watch posted an update
Huawei has launched its Router X2 and X2 Pro in China, with an AI feature that recommends router placement from an uploaded floor plan. The reported starting price is 478 yuan, and the routers support dual-band Wi-Fi 7, but not 6 GHz.
Why it mattersThe feature gives buyers a practical reason to look beyond the book-style casing: placement can affect coverage, especially in awkward homes. Huawei’s reported coverage ratings are up to 90 square metres for one router and 90 to 150 square metres for a two-router kit. The launch details were reported by Mezha, citing Gizmochina.
Discuss: Would you trust a router’s AI placement advice, or is moving it around and checking the signal still the better method?
