Microsoft and Alphabet report on Wednesday, with investors weighing AI infrastructure spending against cloud growth and cash generation. Microsoft has previously forecast more than $50bn in quarterly capital expenditure; Alphabet’s latest annual capex forecast is $195bn to $205bn.
