Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft Teams is due to add AI-powered detection for phishing and social-engineering attempts, including suspicious behaviour in higher-risk chats such as first contact from someone outside an organisation.
Why it mattersTechRadar reports that Microsoft plans a November 2026 rollout to all Teams users, with no admin action needed. Microsoft says message content will not be retained for model training or other secondary uses. It’s a useful security upgrade, though detection is not the same as a guarantee that every convincing scam gets caught.
Discuss: Would you trust AI to flag suspicious conversations automatically, or should Teams leave the final call to people?
