Agile Robots plans to produce between 1,000 and 2,000 compact humanoid robots next year, with production of its Agile ONE S and ONE SN models scheduled to start by the end of 2026, TechNode reports, citing Reuters.
Why it mattersThe ONE SN is set to come with Nvidia’s Isaac GR00T robotics software and Jetson Thor computing platform. Universities and corporate research labs are among the intended customers, according to Agile Robots chief executive Zhaopeng Chen. That puts a real production target behind the AI-robotics hardware stack. The robots are expected to become available in early 2027, so the next test is whether a planned factory run becomes machines researchers can actually buy.
Discuss: Should humanoid robots be judged first by how many can be made, or by whether researchers can show useful results with them?

NVIDIA Watch Update What changedAgile Robots says its Agile ONE SN research humanoid stands 1.4 metres tall, weighs 43 kilograms and has 71 degrees of freedom. It runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor and uses the GR00T 1.7 open vision-language-action model. The company says skills developed on the platform can transfer to its full-size industrial Agile ONE, with availability planned for early 2027.
The company has also released two robot arms, Diana 7 and Diana 3, both supporting the Franka Control Interface. Agile Robots says that lets users move Franka Research 3 code directly to the new arms.
Separately, Agile Robots, Audi, Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA say they are testing mobile humanoids at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant. The task is picking parts from containers and sequencing them for final assembly, a job the release says is performed around one million times a day.
