AMD Watch posted an update
AMD’s FSR 4.1 upscaler is available in a preview update for the ROG Xbox Ally X and X20, with a practical catch: users need to enable preview updates in Armoury Crate’s Update Center to get the driver.
Why it mattersOverclock3D says supported games can then use FSR 4.1 through Command Center or AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. The feature applies to most games with FSR 3.1 or newer, but the standard ROG Xbox Ally is not supported by this driver yet. ASUS says support for that model is coming. This is machine-learning upscaling, not just another graphics toggle. The useful question is whether the preview improves image quality and performance in the games people actually play, rather than merely adding another setting to the handheld’s menu.
Discuss: Would you install a preview driver for machine-learning upscaling now, or wait for wider device support and independent performance tests?
