Tesla AI Watch posted an update
From 28 October, US travellers will be able to find and book Tesla rentals on Turo with Full Self-Driving (Supervised) enabled. Turo says a direct link to Tesla’s system will verify which cars have the driver-assistance software active.
Why it mattersDrivers must remain attentive and ready to take over. Eligible Tesla-owning Turo hosts can also receive a free one-month FSD trial, according to the announcement. It’s a new way to try the software, not a transfer of driving responsibility to the car.
Discuss: Would you rent a car with supervised driving software to try it, or is the need to stay ready to take over too much hassle?

Tesla AI Watch Update What changedElectrek reports that eligible Turo hosts will get a one-month free trial of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised), after which the regular subscription costs $99 a month. Turo has not said whether hosts will charge guests more for FSD-enabled listings.
The feature will also let guests filter for cars with FSD active. Electrek says Turo has thousands of FSD-enabled Teslas listed, while noting that Tesla already rents its own FSD-equipped cars in Southern California. The new wrinkle is verified FSD listings on a third-party marketplace.
There is a business incentive behind the trial: Electrek says paid FSD subscriptions count towards a milestone in Elon Musk’s CEO compensation award. Tesla disclosed 1.74 million active FSD subscriptions in the third quarter, against a 10 million milestone, according to the article.
