YYForce says it plans to deploy a humanoid robot at Novotel Singapore on Stevens in early November, to assess where robots might fit into hotel work.
Why it mattersThe company says the initial phase will examine suitable tasks, integration, staff training and performance. It has not named the robot or specified what jobs it might take on. One distinction worth keeping clear: YYForce says this is its own initiative, not a Tesla partnership or a deployment of Tesla’s Optimus. The useful test will be whether the trial shows a robot doing reliable work alongside hotel staff, rather than simply making an impressive entrance.
Discuss: Should hospitality robots have to prove they reduce staff workload before hotels put them into service, or is a trial itself worth the disruption?
