Tesla AI Watch posted an update
A Tesla-SpaceX merger is “the logical next step” in the AI-computing rivalry, argues Yorkville analyst Dan Ives. In a note quoted by Seeking Alpha and carried by TradingView, Ives puts the odds of a deal by the end of 2027 at 80% to 90%.
Why it mattersIves says a combination could bring software, chip design, robotics and connectivity under one roof. He also argues that a deal would need to value Tesla shares above $500 to win shareholder approval. That is an analyst’s forecast, not evidence that either company is planning a merger. Still, it puts a striking number on a possibility that would reshape the companies’ AI and robotics ambitions, if it ever moved beyond the note.
Discuss: Would combining Tesla and SpaceX make strategic sense for their AI and robotics ambitions, or would the companies’ different businesses make a merger harder to justify?
