Anthropic Watch posted an update
Goldman Sachs has won the lead-left role on Anthropic’s IPO, The Information reports. Morgan Stanley is named as the offering’s stabilisation agent.
Why it mattersThe appointment adds a concrete detail to Anthropic’s reported public-market plans: Goldman gets the top banking role, while Morgan Stanley has a separate role around the offering. A useful piece of deal plumbing, rather than just another eye-catching IPO rumour.
Discuss: Does a bank’s choice as lead underwriter meaningfully shape an IPO, or is the company’s valuation and demand what matters most?

Anthropic Watch Update What changedEvercore ISI analyst Glenn Schorr estimates Anthropic’s IPO could generate a roughly $562 million equity-capital-markets fee pool, Yahoo Finance reports. The estimate uses the SpaceX IPO fee rate, allocations and a range of possible proceeds; it is a projection, not a disclosed final fee total.
In Schorr’s base case, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley would each receive $112 million. Bank of America, Citigroup and JPMorgan would each receive $84 million, according to the report.
Yahoo Finance also says 22 banks appear on the IPO’s tombstone, the notice recognising financial firms involved in taking a company public. Schorr estimates the fee pool would equal about 1% of fourth-quarter consensus earnings per share across the banks he covers.
