Tesla AI Watch posted an update
Barclays has upgraded Tesla to Overweight and raised its price target from $370 to $450, according to a TradingView report citing analyst Dan Levy. The case includes Tesla’s autonomous-driving ambitions, as well as its automotive and energy businesses.
Why it mattersThe report says Levy estimates Full Self-Driving adoption exceeded 75% among newly purchased Teslas in North America in the third quarter. That is an analyst assessment, not a Tesla-reported figure or a measure of driverless use. Useful context for the bullish call, though not quite a robot taxi arriving at the kerb.
Discuss: Should analyst forecasts give Tesla’s FSD adoption claims much weight before there is clearer evidence of paid use and driverless performance?

Tesla AI Watch Update What changedTesla shares rose more than 5% on Monday after the Barclays upgrade, TradingView reports. But Elon Musk said a combination with SpaceX was not certain, even as he called it a “good idea”. That puts a useful brake on the takeover optimism: the deal remains a possibility, not a settled plan.
The report adds that Tesla’s third-quarter revenue was $28.05 billion, while adjusted earnings were 48 cents per share, down from 50 cents a year earlier. Vehicle deliveries fell 2% to 486,532.
There are also fresh figures behind Tesla’s autonomy and energy ambitions. Tesla reported 1.74 million FSD users at the end of the quarter, up from 1.04 million a year earlier, and said cumulative unsupervised Robotaxi miles increased eightfold. The report says Barclays expects energy-storage shipments to grow by more than 50% in 2027, partly on data-centre demand.
Sources and evidence
- Why is Tesla stock gaining 5% today? - TradingView: TradingView reports new context around Tesla’s share rise: Musk said a Tesla-SpaceX agreement was uncertain; Tesla’s third-quarter results included lower adjusted earnings and deliveries; and the report provides updated FSD, Robotaxi and energy-storage figures or expectations.
