Together AI has passed US$1.15 billion in annual bookings and is expanding the computing capacity behind its open-model cloud. AI Magazine reports that a July funding round valued the company at US$8.3 billion, putting a substantial price tag on the business of training, fine-tuning and running open AI models.
Why it mattersWhat happened Together AI offers hosted models through an API, model fine-tuning and rented GPU clusters. AI Magazine says the company serves more than one million developers and thousands of commercial accounts, and reports that it controls 200MW of power capacity in North America. A deal with Saudi Arabia’s HUMAIN is set to add 250MW and 120,000 chips, with an initial 7,000 expected by November 2026. European partners Hypertec and 5C Group are lined up to supply up to 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs through 2028.
