Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic’s IPO filing has prompted a striking question about who will fund the computing behind its growth. Business Matters opinion contributor Nigel Green says the filing puts the company’s commitments for cloud services, computing and infrastructure at at least $518bn over a decade.
Why it mattersGreen’s article says those commitments include up to $120.5bn for Nvidia-powered compute and up to $114.5bn with Google. They are figures cited in the commentary, not independently established here. That is a sizeable bill for a company asking public investors to buy into its future.
Discuss: Should investors see long-term AI compute commitments as a growth engine, or a risk that deserves more scrutiny before a listing?
