Android Police writer Haroun Adamu says Gemini in Google Sheets sorted 42 bank transactions into 10 budget categories, then flagged two identical $24.99 gym charges four days apart as a possible duplicate worth checking. It also built a spending dashboard and highlighted that the budget was already over, with more than a week left in the month.
Why it mattersThe catch: the feature requires Google AI Pro at $20 a month, and interactive dashboards made with Canvas are currently limited to the Sheets web app. Handy bookkeeping, then, but not quite a free accountant hiding in a spreadsheet.
Discuss: Would you hand an AI tool your bank transaction data for this kind of help, or is the time saved not worth the privacy trade-off?
