Meta AI Watch posted an update

CNET’s Amanda Smith used Meta Muse to search Facebook Marketplace for second-hand goods, with the agent scanning active searches every four hours and looking for alternatives when an item sold or a seller did not reply.

Why it matters

Smith says Muse found listings within her budget, flagged that one seller was new, and drafted a message to a seller. After she edited it and connected Messenger, Muse sent it; the agent checked for replies every 30 minutes. Smith also says she took over the conversation herself after spotting a seller’s reply before Muse’s notification arrived. That is a concrete glimpse of an AI agent doing more than suggesting what to buy: it can keep a search running and act on a person’s instructions. Smith advises against sharing sensitive details such as a phone number or address.

Discuss: Would you let an AI agent message Marketplace sellers for you, or should it stop at finding listings?
