What changedYahoo Finance says Anthropic’s IPO filing details a potential additional $20 billion financing facility from Google parent Alphabet and up to $15 billion from Amazon, with the latter tied to computing-capacity milestones. Neither facility had been drawn as of 30 June, according to the report.
The Alphabet arrangement could be reduced by as much as $10 billion if Google buys non-voting Anthropic stock in a private placement alongside the IPO. Yahoo Finance says the agreement carries a 14.99% ownership cap, which Alphabet can waive.
Amazon separately holds about $6.2 billion in outstanding convertible notes, which could convert into roughly 1.84 billion non-voting shares, subject to a 12% ownership cap. Any notes unable to convert under that restriction would remain outstanding and could convert after the offering, the report says.
