Watch Desk posted an update
Microsoft’s October 22 firmware update for the Surface Laptop Ultra is intended to address screen flickering, unexpected restarts and slow reboot times, The Verge reports. Microsoft also lists additional bug fixes and performance improvements.
Why it mattersThe update will reach devices in stages. Owners can install it manually instead, but Microsoft recommends restarting afterwards to complete installation. One catch: the firmware cannot be rolled back once installed.
Discuss: Would you install a firmware update that cannot be rolled back to fix launch bugs, or wait until other owners have tested it?
