Marissa Mayer’s startup Dazzle is building a personal AI assistant that analyses a user’s camera-roll images to answer questions and make suggestions, Futurism reports. Mayer says she has used it to plan children’s parties and sleepovers, as well as to help with an assignment about her daughter.
Why it mattersThat makes Dazzle’s pitch unusually intimate: less office assistant, more machine invited into the family album. The report says the startup is valued at $35 million.
Discuss: Would you let an AI assistant analyse your family photos to help with everyday planning, or is that too much access for too little convenience?
