Meta AI Watch posted an update
More than a quarter of Meta’s active Muse users shop with the AI agent, according to figures reported by Yahoo Finance. The average purchase is above $200, though that figure includes travel bookings, the article says, citing Evercore ISI analyst Mark Mahaney.
Why it mattersThat makes shopping more than a speculative future use for Muse: it is already a reported part of how people use the product. Meta plans to make money from commerce fees, so the figures offer an early clue to its business model. Useful signal, but not proof that those users will keep shopping through an AI agent.
Discuss: Would you let an AI agent choose and buy things for you if it could find good deals, or should shopping stay a human decision?
