New Street Research has upgraded Intel to Buy, arguing that demand for server CPUs driven by AI agents could keep supply constrained for years. The call comes just ahead of Intel’s earnings report, making the company’s own account of server demand the next test of the thesis.
Why it mattersThe analyst also sees Intel’s manufacturing capacity and foundry business as part of the opportunity. That is an investment argument, not proof that the shortage will last or that Intel can meet demand. The useful question is whether the results back up the forecast, rather than whether the share price enjoyed a brisk Monday.
