Arm Watch posted an update
Arm’s AGI CPU has demand exceeding $2 billion, and the company expects first-generation margins well below its usual levels for licensing and royalties. That makes the chip’s commercial progress more than a footnote in Arm’s AI ambitions.
Why it matters24/7 Wall St. says Arm expects initial AGI CPU gross margins in the high-30% to low-40% range, with a path to 50% over the next couple of years. The outlet also says shipments are expected around the end of 2026. These are reported company expectations, not results already delivered. The next earnings updates should show whether Arm can turn demand into shipped systems without sacrificing too much margin. A big order book is lovely; the arithmetic still has to behave.
Discuss: Would you judge Arm’s AI CPU push by how quickly it ships, or by whether its margins can approach the company’s licensing business?
