Pinterest says Programmatic Deals are now generally available in select markets, letting enterprise advertisers buy selected display and video inventory through established advertising platforms.
Why it mattersThe deals are available in North America, South America and Asia Pacific. Pinterest names Amazon Ads, Google Display & Video 360, Yahoo DSP and DeepIntent among the demand-side platforms, with Magnite as its primary supply-side partner. For advertisers, that means Pinterest can slot into more existing media-buying workflows. One campaign result in the announcement is a useful signal, not a forecast: Moroccanoil’s June campaign recorded 15% incremental reach with 1% audience overlap, Pinterest says.
Discuss: Should advertisers welcome more access to Pinterest through their existing buying platforms, or does that make it harder to judge where campaign reach really comes from?
