Bending Spoons has completed its all-cash acquisition of Miro, the online whiteboard platform, at an enterprise value of $1.355bn, The Next Web reports. Former Miro shareholders reinvested about $295m of their proceeds in Bending Spoons shares, according to the report.
Why it mattersIt’s a substantial change of ownership for a widely used collaboration product, but the reported deal terms do not say what will change for Miro users.
Discuss: Should software acquisitions be judged first by what they mean for customers, or by the deal and ownership behind them?
