Around six in 10 Dutch people think AI is becoming part of society too quickly, according to a survey of 1,000 people by Panel Inzicht for AD, reported by NL Times. Concern is not confined to one corner: nine in 10 respondents were worried about deepfakes, disinformation and fake news, and the same proportion about AI taking private information without consent.
Why it mattersYet most respondents said they use AI, while seven in 10 feared it would lead to fewer jobs. The numbers sketch a familiar tension: people are using the tools while worrying about where they lead.
Discuss: If most people are already using AI despite these concerns, should the priority be stronger rules or better ways for people to understand and control how it is used?
