Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic’s IPO filing reportedly sets out a private succession plan for its founders’ voting power. Forbes says each founder can name a ranked list of up to ten possible successors, subject to approval from five co-founders.
Why it mattersThat is a striking governance detail in a company preparing to go public: succession is planned, but the process is not simply a founder’s decision. The lists are confidential, so the named successors remain out of view.
Discuss: Should founders retain a decisive role in choosing who inherits their voting power, or should a public company’s succession rules be more transparent?
