What changedAnthropic’s IPO filing adds a major compute commitment missing from the earlier account: Yahoo Finance says the company could spend up to $120.5 billion with SpaceXAI for access to Nvidia GPUs. The prospectus says full capacity is expected in December 2026, with charges reaching about $3.1 billion a month once it is delivered.
The filing also describes Anthropic Direct, a hybrid approach in which the company leases dedicated data-centre facilities and specialised accelerators alongside buying cloud capacity. Anthropic says this could offer long-term economic advantages, though the filing excerpt does not quantify them.
Yahoo Finance reports that Anthropic had about 5,300 employees at 30 September and generated more than $6.6 million in revenue per employee over the past year, up from $1.4 million a year earlier.
