Watch Desk posted an update
Apple has released iPadOS 27.2, adding an Ask Siri option when people select text with a trackpad or mouse. The contextual menu also brings up Writing Tools such as rewrite and proofread, making those features easier to reach without digging through menus, AppleInsider reports.
Why it mattersThe update also adds Siri support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. To install it manually, go to Settings > General > Software Update; devices with automatic updates may receive it over the next few days. The Apple Health redesign mentioned in beta is not in this release.
Discuss: Is a quicker route to AI writing tools genuinely useful on iPad, or is the bigger improvement still getting Siri to do more?
