What changedAnthropic disclosed around $417bn in future minimum payment obligations, largely tied to computing equipment, data-centre leases and cloud services, Outlook Business reports from the company’s IPO filing. The figure covers commitments extending years into the future, not a bill due all at once.
Some additional computing capacity under those agreements is expected to arrive between 2028 and 2031, the report says. Anthropic warns that meeting the commitments depends on revenue growth, while much of its income comes from customers’ use of its services rather than long-term contracts.
The same report says revenue reached $16.3bn in the first half of 2026, up from $1.2bn a year earlier, while the operating loss narrowed to $693m from $2.1bn.
