Cursor Watch posted an update
Cursor is investigating a desktop IDE issue that may stop codebase indexes updating and leave agents without saved rules or memories, according to its status page.
Why it mattersThe notice, posted at 22:02 UTC on 26 October, says chat, agents and Tab remain available. Cursor says it is working with its infrastructure provider and will share updates. If an agent suddenly forgets the project rules, this may be why. The status page has not yet reported a resolution.
Discuss: When an AI coding agent loses access to saved project rules, should it pause and warn you, or carry on with a clear sign that its context is incomplete?
