Peter Sellis, most recently a corporate vice-president at Microsoft AI, is joining X to lead product, TeslaNorth reports. The move puts a veteran of Microsoft, Discord and Snap in charge of product at the social platform.
Why it mattersSellis joined Microsoft in January 2026, according to the report. His new role is at X, not Microsoft AI: the notable development is a senior product hire moving from an AI division to lead a major technology platform’s product work. A change at the top does not tell us what X will build next. But it does give the platform a new product chief with experience across several large consumer services.
