Nanoleaf has launched an MCP that lets AI chatbots and agents control its smart lights, AppleInsider reports. MCP is a way for AI tools to connect with external services, putting Nanoleaf’s lighting within reach of chatbot-driven control.
Why it mattersIt is a concrete step beyond talking about AI in the smart home: the lights can now be connected to AI agents. The report does not detail which agents or lighting products are supported.
Discuss: Would you let an AI agent control your smart-home lighting, or should those controls stay in a conventional app?
