Tesla chief executive Elon Musk says the company’s Cybercab fleet in Austin grew tenfold in about a month, while unsupervised Robotaxi mileage rose sharply. Yahoo Finance, citing Musk’s remarks on Tesla’s earnings call, also says Tesla’s shareholder update reported an eightfold quarterly increase in cumulative unsupervised Robotaxi miles.
Why it mattersThose are company-reported growth figures, not proof that the service is ready to scale everywhere. But they give a useful measure of how quickly Tesla says its driverless operation is expanding.
