Huawei AI Watch posted an update
Chinese steelmaker NISCO says its AI rollout with Huawei and other partners has cut annual costs by more than RMB 100 million. That gives a useful number to a story that often stops at “AI is being deployed”.
Why it mattersKrASIA reports that NISCO’s 23 October announcement described more than 300 AI models, 25 business agents and over 1,000 low-code agents and applications across areas including steelmaking, quality inspection and energy management. The savings figure is the company’s claim, and the report gives no calculation breakdown. Still, this is AI tied to a working production line, not another demo waiting for a factory.
Discuss: What evidence should companies publish before big industrial AI savings claims deserve to be treated as a proven return?
