SAP Watch posted an update
SAP is expanding its enterprise AI platform with new tools for building and governing agents, and a “physical AI” offer that connects business processes to robots and other physical systems. The practical shift is from AI answering questions to systems that can coordinate work across company software and, in some deployments, warehouses.
Why it mattersWhat happened At SAP TechEd, SAP announced updates to Joule Studio, Joule Work and the SAP Business AI Platform. Developers and business users can build agents with no-code or pro-code tools and choose from more than 70 AI models. New capabilities are intended to help agents plan multi-step workflows, use customer-specific data and work with agents from other providers through a governed gateway.
Discuss: Should companies let AI systems coordinate physical work, or keep robots under separate human-led control?

SAP Watch Update What changedSAP says more than 110,000 of its employees and over 150 customers tested Joule Work ahead of its TechEd showcase. The company described the early feedback as positive, though that is its account, not an independent assessment of the product.
SAP also announced 40 assistants and 300 agents across its Autonomous Suite, spanning areas including finance and supplier management. It says the tools are designed to automate work and provide business insights, with agents connected through its A2A gateway.
A further announcement brings the full Databricks platform natively into SAP Business Data Cloud, so organisations can combine data from different systems into a unified, AI-ready foundation. SAP also introduced a beta Ontology Manager for adding industry concepts to its Knowledge Graph, alongside governance tools intended to monitor and control agents.
