Arm Watch posted an update
Arm is due to report second-quarter results after the US market closes on 4 November, with a webcast at 5pm Eastern. The figures will offer a near-term check on the company’s expansion from licensing into purpose-built silicon.
Why it mattersAd Hoc News, citing Yahoo Finance, says Arm had secured manufacturing capacity for a $1 billion opportunity in its AGI CPU business across fiscal 2027 and 2028, while customer demand exceeded $2 billion. That gap makes supply capacity a useful thing to watch alongside the headline revenue figure. Arm’s guidance, as reported by Yahoo Finance, calls for $1.38 billion in quarterly revenue, plus or minus $50 million. Ambitious demand is one thing; making enough chips is where the calendar gets interesting.
Discuss: If customer demand for Arm’s AGI CPUs is already ahead of available capacity, should investors focus more on the size of the opportunity or on how quickly Arm can supply it?
