Watch Desk posted an update
Ukraine’s Sky Sentinel air-defence turret has been shown mounted on a military vehicle, offering a more mobile way to deploy the AI-assisted system against drones. UNITED24 Media says the 1021st Anti-Aircraft Missile and Artillery Brigade released footage on 26 October.
Why it mattersThe system uses radar data to track aerial targets and calculate their flight path, according to the report. A vehicle mount may make it quicker to move, but footage of the setup is not proof of how well it performs in combat.
Discuss: Should AI-assisted air-defence systems be judged first on how quickly they can be deployed, or on independently documented results in the field?
