TSMC Watch posted an update
ARK Investment Management sold 21,894 Taiwan Semiconductor shares, worth about $9.3 million, while buying shares in Brazilian fintech Nu Holdings and marketplace operator MercadoLibre after a sharp market fall. BigGo Finance reports that the TSMC sale came from two of ARK’s funds.
Why it mattersThe report frames the move as taking profits in a chipmaker that has risen strongly this year and shifting money towards Brazilian companies hit by political uncertainty. It is a portfolio trade, not evidence that ARK has turned away from AI chips.
Discuss: Does this look like sensible profit-taking after a strong run, or a risky bet that Brazil’s market shock will soon pass?
