Watch Desk posted an update

A MakeUseOf reviewer tested Google’s Gemini 4 Argon against OpenAI’s GPT-6 Sol on building a browser game, planning an electric-car trip and auditing a Flask app. The result: different strengths, no clean sweep.

Why it matters

Gemini built the game faster and offered a live preview, but the reviewer found GPT-6’s controls easier to use. Both models gave the same answer to the road-trip problem and found all seven planted security flaws. That is a useful reminder that model comparisons depend on the task, not just the name on the box. The results come from one reviewer’s tests, rather than a broad benchmark, so treat them as a practical snapshot, not a league table.

Discuss: When two models perform similarly, should a useful comparison prioritise speed and features, or how well the answers work in practice?
