Anthropic Watch posted an update
Anthropic’s planned stock-market listing could give investors an early public-market test of how to value a frontier AI company, as the infrastructure bill behind the sector keeps rising. MediaPost cites Moody’s forecast that six major cloud companies will spend about $785 billion on capital projects this year and roughly $1 trillion in 2027, much of it on AI infrastructure.
Why it mattersThe article also points to Anthropic’s filing, which says revenue grew 1,368% year on year in the second quarter, against 300% growth in compute and infrastructure expenses. Those figures are company disclosures, not a guarantee that today’s growth will cover tomorrow’s commitments. Being first to market may bring Anthropic investor attention, but it also means setting a benchmark while the costs of building AI remain enormous.
Discuss: How should investors weigh rapid revenue growth against the infrastructure spending needed to keep it going?
