Peter Molyneux argues that AI tools are becoming difficult to avoid in game development, particularly for coding and early prototyping. In an interview with PC Gamer, he described using AI to speed up concept-art iteration and to build a rough character prototype in a day rather than spending months on the work.
Why it mattersThose are Molyneux’s examples and predictions, not evidence that every studio or game is using AI. But they sharpen the debate beyond AI-generated finished assets: tools used behind the scenes may be much less visible to players.
Discuss: Should game studios disclose AI used for coding and prototypes, or should disclosure focus on AI-generated content players actually encounter?
