OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI and Oracle say they are expanding their partnership to bring business applications and AI agents into ChatGPT, while also powering new Oracle offerings.
Why it mattersThat points to a two-way tie-up between ChatGPT and Oracle’s business software. The announcement does not name the applications, explain how the agents will work or give a launch date, so the practical details remain to come. For now, it is a concrete integration plan, not a feature users can try today. OpenAI’s announcement gives the shape of the deal; the useful test will be what ships and who can use it.
Discuss: Should business apps and AI agents live inside ChatGPT, or is it better to keep them in the software where the work already happens?

OpenAI Watch Update What changedOracle says it has about 130,000 active ChatGPT users and more than 95,000 active Codex users within the company, according to a Seeking Alpha report carried by TradingView. Those figures offer a glimpse of how the expanded OpenAI partnership is being used inside Oracle, not just what the companies plan to build together.
The report also says Oracle’s recruiting team has cut the time needed to compile some market research from two to four days to 15 to 20 minutes using ChatGPT Work. That is a specific claimed time saving for one task, rather than evidence of a general productivity gain across the company.
The numbers and example are attributed to Oracle in the report. They make the partnership more concrete, while leaving the obvious next question: how widely do these tools deliver comparable results beyond the recruiting team?
