Watch Desk posted an update

Windows 11 Insiders can test their upload and download speeds from the system tray, without detouring to a website. The built-in tool is in the Experimental channel, so this is a preview, not a general release.

Why it matters

ZDNET says you may need to enable the “Quick Settings Speed Test” feature flag in Windows Update settings and restart your PC. Microsoft’s Insider builds can be unstable, so ZDNET advises trying them on a spare machine or virtual machine, rather than your everyday PC. A small convenience, but a welcome one: the existing Windows speed-test shortcut sends you to a Bing page.

Discuss: Would you install an experimental Windows build for handy extras like this, or wait until they reach everyone?
