Some Microsoft Edge users have temporarily lost Copilot in the browser’s Sidebar while their account moves to a new experience, Windows Central reports. The in-browser message says the migration may take a few days and require restarting Edge.

The message says chat history and settings should return to the Sidebar when migration finishes, but does not explain what the new experience is. It is a small but inconvenient wrinkle for people who use Copilot inside Edge: the assistant has not vanished, but it may be making them change tabs for a while.
