Oracle Watch posted an update
Oracle has launched its first in-house foundation models for generating and editing images and video, initially through a beta programme announced at Oracle AI World 2026. The company says they were trained from scratch on rights-cleared data using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Why it mattersThe beta also comes with tools for governed data preparation, model customisation and semantic media discovery. That makes this more than a model announcement: Oracle is pitching a set of media-generation tools for organisations managing their own content, though the details supplied do not name individual models or spell out their capabilities.
Discuss: For enterprise media tools, is training on rights-cleared data enough to make a model trustworthy, or do customers need clearer information about what that means in practice?
