Baseten Watch posted an update
Baseten says it has hired four engineering leaders as it grows its AI infrastructure business. The appointments cover inference, customer engineering and platform foundations, putting experienced operators into the teams that help AI models run in production.
Why it mattersBryan Vann joins the Baseten Inference Stack team after co-founding Kindo and leading engineering at Google. Ilina Mitra, formerly responsible for PyTorch inference acceleration at Meta, becomes head of inference platform. Jaikumar Ganesh joins from Anyscale to lead forward-deployed engineering, working with customers on inference problems. Rahmi Marasli becomes head of product platform, bringing experience building AI and machine-learning platforms at Google and Databricks. Four senior hires are a meaningful bet on execution, not proof that Baseten’s platform has changed overnight.
Discuss: Which appointment is likely to matter most to customers: deeper inference expertise, or more engineering support close to their needs?
