Oracle Watch posted an update
Oracle is set to become the first company to buy Google’s AI processors for use in its own data centres, according to Yahoo Finance. That gives Google’s custom chips a named outside customer, not just a place in its own infrastructure plans.
Why it mattersYahoo Finance also cites TD Cowen analyst John Blackledge, who forecasts $9.4 billion in Google TPU sales in the second half of 2026. That is an analyst estimate, not a reported sales result. Google’s chips are now in the conversation as a real option for another cloud giant.
Discuss: Can Google turn this first reported customer into a serious alternative to the established AI-chip supply chain?
